The Scientific Programme

Single hall. One narrative arc.

PRANA runs one hall, two days, no parallel tracks. The programme is a spine — from science that detects, through integrated practice that manages, into research that extends, and out to a P4 and One Health framing that internalises what we have learned. The arc terminates in the signing of the Chennai Declaration.

    Science detects

    Key TakeawayGroup I — Science-Based Initiatives & Challenges
    #Precision Diagnosis#Omics & Genomics#Burden Scale#Healthcare Economics

A clear-eyed view of why Indian respiratory care must move from broad guesswork to precise, science-led diagnosis. You will grasp the true scale and hidden gaps of the country's lung-disease burden, see how imprecise diagnosis quietly drives antibiotic resistance, and get a plain-language tour of the modern science — omics, genes, immunology, that lets us understand a disease rather than just name it. You will also leave with an honest sense of the economics: what precision costs, what insurance covers, and how it reaches everyone.

    Integrated practice manages

Key TakeawayGroup II — Integrated Health Management Systems & Social Change
    #AYUSH & Evidence#Ayurveda & Yoga#Rehabilitation Protocols#Native Research Stack

The ability to tell where India's traditional and integrative systems genuinely help the lung and where the evidence still needs building. You will see what Ayurveda, Siddha, yoga and allied practices actually offer for respiratory health, held to real measurable standards, and how engagement itself becomes the active ingredient in rehabilitation. And you'll understand how plural traditions can be brought into one standardised, auditable pathway with a credible research base behind it.
